Brendan Dolan is vastberaden het succes van dinsdag in Players Championship 5 op te volgen met nog meer PDC-titels. Hij is klaar met het alleen maar deelnemen.
De Noord-Ier pakte de achtste ranking titel van zijn carrière om de PDC Super Series 2 in stijl te beginnen op dinsdag.
Dolan toernooigemiddelde was 102,19, het op zes na hoogste toernooigemiddelde van een Players Championship winnaar sinds de introductie van DartConnect in 2018.
Dolan won twee Players Championship toernooien aan het begin van 2019 om de renaissance van zijn carrière aan te kondigen. De World Grand Prix finalist van 2011 probeert deze vorm nu door te zetten in 2021.
DOLAN: "I want to win more. I'm fed up of just taking part, and for a few years I was happy just to be here with the best in the world.
Now I'm not happy to do that, I want to be better than them.
Considering the standard of players that I have to play against now compared to when I first started; the standard was good at the top when I first started, but now it's that good at the bottom so you have to raise your game.
I've changed a few things, changed the tempo of my throw - maybe not my speed of walking in and out, because I want to stay calm within myself - but what I want to do is for me to be in control of what I'm throwing.
I dictate that when I put my foot to the oche, it's only me that's at the oche."
