Nog twee qualifiers voor het William Hill World Darts Championship 2021 zijn bekend gemaakt, James Bailey en Haupai Puha zullen in december naar het Alexandra Palace afreizen.
Door de aanhoudende restricties in Australië zal de Oceanic Masters, een toernooi van de DPA in november, dit jaar niet doorgaan.
Daardoor zal James Bailey, die na Gordon Mathers en Damon Heta als derde op de DPA-ranking eindigde, zich bij zijn landgenoten voegen op het WK.
De DPA heeft wel al regionale toernooien gepland voor in 2021, waar in zeven regionale bubbels gespeeld zal worden.
De DPA-voorzitter, Kevin Berlyn zei hierover: "This would have been the 21st anniversary of the Oceanic Masters and it is with great sadness that we are unable to stage the event in 2020.
We know that James will do us proud in the World Championship and wish him the best of luck alongside his fellow Australians competing on the biggest stage in darts. You'll have the whole of Australia behind you."
De kwartfinalist op de World Cup of Darts in 2019, Haupai Puha, zal Nieuw-Zeeland vertegenwoordigen op het WK, hij won de 2019/20 Order of Merit in zijn thuisland.
Puha voerde de ranking aan voor Ben Robb en Warren Parry toen de nationale toernooireeks stopte in februari. De DPNZ (Dart Players New Zealand) was niet in staat de tour weer op te pakken later in het jaar, en Puha zal om die reden nu zijn WK-debuut gaan maken.
