Luke Humphries heeft zijn zinnen gezet op een TV-titel nadat hij maandag zijn eerste European Tour titel won in München.
Humphries versloeg Martin Lukeman met 8-2 in de finale van de Interwetten German Darts Grand Prix en whitewashte eerder al Michael van Gerwen met 7-0 in de halve finales.
De 27-jarige wordt al lang genoemd als één van de meest belovende talenten in de sport en hij heeft nu zijn zinnen gezet op een TV-titel als volgende fase in zijn groei.
HUMPHRIES: "This is my biggest achievement in darts. I really am over the moon to win this title.
It was a gruelling, long day and I had to produce three ton-plus averages to reach the final.
I've known Martin [Lukeman] a long time; he told me years ago that I'd make the big time you'll make the big time and here we are sharing the stage of a PDC final.
This means the world to me. I think I deserved it, but you don't always get what you deserve and I had to show a lot of grit.
I've won a ProTour title, now a European Tour title, the next one's a major, isn't it?"
Humphries komt van 29 april t/m 1 mei weer in actie op de Interwetten Austrian Darts Open (ET4) in de Premstättner Halle in Graz, Oostenrijk.
