Nigel Pearson, een dartscommentator voor ruim 15 jaar, is op vrijdag overleden.
Nigel voegde zich in 2006 bij het team van Sky Sports en versloeg daar voor ruim vijftien jaar het darts.
Tijdens die periode heeft hij ook de dartsprogramma's op Sky Sports gepresenteerd. Verder werkte hij nog met de PDC als commentator voor de European Tour, de Players Championship toernooien en de Women's Series.
Nigel was ook een erg ervaren commentator en presentator bij de Speedway en was betrokken bij de Cradley Heath club. Ook versloeg hij intensief voetboel op de radio voor talkSPORT.
Nigel versloeg samen met Sid Waddell de historische negen-darter van Raymond van Barneveld, de eerste op een PDC WK.
