Het William Hill World Darts Championship blijft in het Alexandra Palace tot tenminste 2025. De PDC heeft een nieuw contract gesloten met de Londense locatie.
Het World Darts Championship verplaatste zich voor het toernooi van 2008 naar het Alexandra Palace en is sinds dien een must-see locatie geworden voor dartsfans van over de hele wereld.
De veertiende editie van het WK dat werd gehouden in het Ally Pally bleek een erg bijzondere. De openingsavond werd gespeeld voor een publiek, maar daarna werden de deuren gesloten gehouden voor de rest van het toernooi.
Voor het toernooi van 2022 kunnen de volledige 3.200 fans per sessie weer naar binnen in de West Hall van het Alexandra Palace. Het toernooi zal worden gehouden van 15 december 2021 t/m 3 januari 2022.
Het toernooi blijft nu op deze iconische Londense locatie tot tenminste 2025, nadat een nieuwe deal met de PDC werd gesloten.

There are few atmospheres in sport which can match a full Ally Pally during the World Championship, and we've seen so many historic moments during the past 14 years - including nine-darters, Phil Taylor's farewell in a final and Fallon Sherrock's famous wins two years ago.
The next four years will give more players the chance to follow in the footsteps of players like Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen, Gary Anderson, Peter Wright and reigning World Champion Gerwyn Price in lifting the Sid Waddell Trophy - we can't wait!"
Ongeveer 90.000 fans zullen het WK van 2022 gaan bezoeken en daar zullen zij 96 spelers van over de hele wereld het tegen elkaar op zien nemen in het grootste darttoernooi van het jaar.
